The second-largest US builder, it sells new single-family homes to the same first-time, move-up and active-adult segments PulteGroup serves with its Centex, Pulte and Del Webb brands.
Through Ryan Homes and NVHomes it is PulteGroup's closest rival in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, selling comparably priced build-to-order homes bundled with its own mortgage and title services.
It competes for the higher-priced move-up and active-adult buyer that PulteGroup targets with its Pulte, DiVosta and John Wieland brands, in the same amenity-led master-planned communities.
The largest US homebuilder by closings, it bids against PulteGroup for the same residential land parcels, subcontractors and first-time and move-up buyers across nearly the same Sun Belt and Southeast markets.
Its mix of move-up communities and Esplanade active-adult resort communities overlaps almost exactly with PulteGroup's Pulte Homes and Del Webb product in Florida, Arizona and Texas.
Its built-to-order model aimed at entry-level and first-time buyers competes head-on with PulteGroup's Centex brand in California, Texas and the Southeast.
