Its Preventice Solutions arm, acquired for $925 million, is the closest challenger to Zio in long-term continuous ECG patch monitoring in the United States.
Baxter owns Bardy Diagnostics, whose Carnation ambulatory monitor patch is prescribed for the same arrhythmia work-ups that Zio is used for.
GE HealthCare supplies the traditional 24-to-48-hour Holter monitors that hospitals and clinics can choose instead of sending a patient home with a Zio patch.
Through BioTelemetry, which it bought for $2.8 billion, Philips sells the wearable ECG patches and mobile cardiac telemetry services that compete directly with iRhythm's Zio for the same cardiologists and the same insurance reimbursement.
Medtronic's LINQ family of insertable cardiac monitors targets the same patients under investigation for atrial fibrillation and unexplained fainting, competing for the diagnostic referral before a Zio is ever prescribed.
This private US company sells the VitalPatch, a disposable ECG patch with AI arrhythmia detection sold to the same cardiology practices that buy Zio.
